Terms of Use

These terms apply to use of Soledad Residents Directory. By using the reference, you accept these conditions. If they are not acceptable, do not use the pages or their linked search tools.

1. Nature of the Reference

Soledad Residents Directory is privately operated. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections connected with Soledad, Monterey County, and California. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with the City of Soledad, Monterey County, any state office, court, library, or records custodian.

2. Lawful Use Rules

Use the pages only for lawful purposes. You may not use information found through them to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm a person
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, or another offense
  • Make a decision regulated by the FCRA, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the reference at scale
  • Interfere with its operation or security

3. No Consumer Reports

This reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 et seq. Neither its text nor a result from a linked search tool is a consumer report. Nothing returned through these pages may be used to judge eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose governed by the FCRA.

4. External Links and Tools

County and state portals, libraries, archives, and sponsored search services set their own terms and privacy rules. Soledad Residents Directory does not control their content, availability, price, data practices, or search results. A link is provided as a reference point, not as an endorsement or guarantee.

5. No Warranty

The pages are provided as available and without warranties. Coverage years, fees, office schedules, links, and search results can change. No promise is made that the information is complete, accurate, current, or fit for a particular purpose.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages arising from use of this reference or an outside resource linked from it, including an action taken from a record located through those resources.

7. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorney fees, that results from your misuse of the pages or violation of these terms.

8. Original Material

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Brief quotations with attribution and ordinary links are welcome. Republishing full pages or systematically copying the content is not permitted.

9. Updates

These terms may be revised by posting a new version here. Continued use after a revision means that the updated terms are accepted.

10. Access Restrictions

The operators may block or limit access for a user who violates these terms, abuses a search tool, or threatens the operation or security of the reference. That action may occur without advance notice.

11. California Law

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Public-record references are informed by the California Public Records Act, Government Code section 7920.000 et seq., while visitor-data questions are addressed in the California Consumer Privacy Act and CPRA, Civil Code section 1798.100 et seq. Those statutes govern their custodians and legal rights; they do not make this private reference a government office.

12. Severability

If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.

13. Questions
