Privacy Policy

This policy describes the limited information connected with Soledad Residents Directory. The reference points to Monterey County and California records, but it does not host those public records, require an account, or maintain a resident database.

Information Sent Through Forms

A name, phone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that powers the results. Soledad Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search entries on its own servers. A message sent to the contact address contains whatever information the sender chooses to include and is used to answer that message.

Routine Technical Logs

Hosting systems may record ordinary technical details such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time stamps. Those logs are reviewed in aggregate for site operation and page performance. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or, where used, advertising measurement.

Why Limited Data Is Used

Technical information helps operate the pages, diagnose failures, understand broad traffic, and improve the reference. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not built from ordinary browsing.

Outside Portals Have Their Own Policies

Links lead to Monterey County property, Recorder, court, library, and city resources, as well as California services. Each outside custodian controls its own submissions and privacy practices. Sponsored search tools are operated by their provider, not by the Soledad reference.

Service Providers and Legal Disclosures

Hosting and support providers may process technical logs on behalf of the reference. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the routine technical data described above. Information may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it. No other sale of a visitor list is intended.

Security and Retention

Pages are delivered over an encrypted connection, and technical logs are retained only for the purposes that require them. There are no user accounts here, so the reference does not hold a password or personal profile for a visitor.

Visitors Younger Than 18

The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information through the contact route, a parent or guardian may ask for its deletion.

California Rights and Public Records

California's Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, is codified in Civil Code section 1798.100 et seq. Depending on the circumstances, it provides rights to know, delete with exceptions, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit sensitive-data use, and avoid discrimination. Global Privacy Control may communicate an opt-out signal. Because this reference retains little personal data, a request usually involves checking the contact mailbox and applicable technical logs.

Use the Contact page for a request about information held here. Records kept by the City of Soledad or Monterey County are outside this reference's control. Requests concerning those records must go to the custodian under the California Public Records Act, Government Code section 7920.000 et seq., subject to exemptions and confidentiality rules.

California's DROP platform at privacy.ca.gov/drop provides a separate one-request route to registered data brokers. It does not erase an old public deed, court file, voter record, or vital record.
