Contact Soledad Residents Directory

This is not a government office or records custodian. Soledad Residents Directory is a private reference. It cannot pull records, certify copies, confirm who lives at an address, or change a roll. Requests for those actions belong with the agency that holds the record. For an emergency, call 911. If you believe someone is being stalked or harassed, contact local police.

Choose the Right Record Office

Use the page that matches the question, then contact the custodian directly. The California Public Records Act is Government Code section 7920.000 et seq.; it does not override confidential voter, vital, adoption, sealed-court, or DMV rules.

  • Street or parcel: use the Soledad street directory for Monterey GIS, Assessor identifiers, Recorder research, and city permit history.
  • Old households: use the Soledad city directory collections for the countywide volumes, telephone catalog, Bee microfilm, Sanborn, and genealogy shelf.
  • One person: use the Soledad resident lookup for court, vital, probate, business, and license record limits.
  • Records by postal geography: use the ZIP page for 93960, the Post Office, city limits, and unincorporated areas.
  • Records not online: describe the date, name, APN, case number, or document reference to the custodian rather than sending a standing request.

Branch contacts and services

For court files, Monterey Superior Court lists civil, family, and probate viewing at 1200 Aguajito Road in Monterey and criminal records at 240 Church Street in Salinas. The court portal is the starting point for cases generally dating to 2008; clerk research is the fallback for older or restricted material.

Property and copy questions can also begin with the Monterey County Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder office and its published fee schedule. For statewide vital-copy costs, check the CDPH fee page and the 2026 state notice against the current application.
